SecureSafe Pro - More Than a Simple Password Manager
Review by on
From downloading, to installing and then using the SecureSafe Pro application, there is much to like about this application. There’s one small thing you may not like, but more about that later. Let’s focus on the bits and pieces that you are going to like.

First up, what’s to like about downloading SecureSafe Pro? Why the fact that getting the application off the web and onto your computer will only take a moment. I don’t know about you, but I don’t particularly like to wait a long time for a download to complete. The SecureSafe Pro download weighs in at a mere 1.4MB, so it will definitely not take long for the download to complete – not even if you have to contend with a less than spectacular internet connection.

Moving on, what’s to like about installing SecureSafe Pro? Why the fact that it is a simple, straightforward process that goes along smoothly. All you have to do is run the executable you downloaded and follow the instructions presented by the setup wizard; you will be done in no time at all. It must be mentioned here that SecureSafe Pro provides support for numerous Windows versions. At the time of writing this and according to the developer, SecureSafe Pro provides support for Windows 98, 2000, ME, NT, Windows XP and Windows Vista. The developer recommends you use SecureSafe Pro on XP or Vista.

Last but not least, what’s to like about using SecureSafe Pro? Why the fact that the application is quite easy to use and its functionality. Here is what you can expect to get from SecureSafe Pro, from a functionality point of view:
- Manage your passwords from a single, password-protected location.
- Store any kind of data into SecureSafe Pro. As mentioned above, access to SecureSafe Pro is password protected.
- Store files inside SecureSafe Pro.
- The application provides 5 predefined templates, one for passwords, one for credit cards, one for files, one for note, and one for URLs.
- You can use more than 300 icons for customization options.
- SecureSafe Pro uses 256-bit military-grade encryption
- Includes a password generator.

I mentioned up there that there may be one bit you are not going to like. You may not like that SecureSafe Pro is not freeware; it is only free to try. The trial version, which you can use for as long as you wish, doesn’t let you add more than 20 items. Also, you will see reminders asking you to register the application.

Pros
  • Lightweight download
  • Wizard to get you started
  • Easy to use
  • Customization options
  • 256-bit encryption

Cons
  • Free to try
